An arctic high
Yesterday it was like 50 degrees F. Today it was cold with temps around 4 degrees F. Not to mention a fresh coating of 2-4 inches of snow on everything. It was definitely not a day to be on the bike....or at least be on the bike and be comfortable. So, do the other option: winter sports. Not enough snow down low to snowshoe...so Sonya and I went for a 4.5 hour hike to the summit of Green Mountain.
Cold and snow....but with a smile.

Some hands and knees sections.

About 1/2 way up looking back down on Boulder.

Strike a pose girl! Yeah!
The summit of Green Mountain looking west. Too bad there are so many clouds, it keeps us from seeing the Divide.
Suunto T6 shows 8,143 ft. Not bad, only 1 foot off from all the maps recordings.I leave you with the summit 360 view and all of the days photos.
