Winter is almost here.
The cold temps are soon to drop down upon Colorado. I know some of you are reading this and saying to yourself.....
"It's already winter, and I have 5 feet of snow in my back yard, my car won't start, and the neighbour kid has his tongue stuck to the flag pole. Uggghhhhhhh."
Well, soon enough, I will have to deal with that as well. This now brings me to the reason of this post...and that is winter cycling gear. We all know about thermal mitts, jackets, bib tights, and booties. I want to introduce you to a magical little piece I bought last year that is worth every little penny.

I have been a Craft base layer user for like 4 or 5 years now. Last year Craft introduced the proWARM series which is aimed at the below 40F riding crowd.
Is it warm? Yes! Like wearing a musk ox. Really!
Windproof? Pretty darn close!
Is it bulky? Heck no! The fit is similar to Craft's proZERO series.
This is the perfect layer under a long sleeve jersey and vest. Nice added feature is the high neck to keep out that biting chill. I am sure in the coming weeks, I will start seeing this base layer added to my daily training attire. For now, I am going to keep enjoying the warmer than normal temps and leaving heavy base layers packed away.
