Thursday Night World's
OUCH!! Or rather what I was screaming inside...I was the only one rolling the 26er this past evening. No surprise, as it is much, much more work, and much, much more painful. Even Buchanandale was back on the road bike after two fail mountain bike attempts over the past week. Surprisingly I felt really good. I was able to counter attack Kisch's attacks, read: 30 mph. Only got shelled out the back once trying to attack going into Finchford. Took about 5 miles of solo chasing to finally get back on.....but only because they waited for a regroup. After that, it was time to roll back to Waterloo. During this stretch speeds were crazy fast. I think I achieved the farther possible forward saddle seating position ever. Any more farther forward and I would have tattooed my junk off the top tube by falling off the saddle. The last few miles were a dash....and I was not the last one in. Third I believe. It was good. Fitness is good. Life is good.
