Nutritional Tip of the Day

I just got back from a 2 hour recovery ride/spin. We all know that recovery is key to becoming stronger. One of the best was to assure yourself that your muscles are getting what they need is to consume protein. There are all kinds of items you can eat that can give you the protein you need: chicken, fish, beans, lean meat, cheese, yogurt, etc. Protein is great! It makes you strong, plus it makes you feel full. One of the cheapest ways to get a high concetrate on protein is thru protein powders. These powders you can add to smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, and so on.

I have found a brand that works for me very well, plus I have a local Iowa company that sells it cheaper than any other place.....Guarenteed!

The brand is Optimum Nutrition. They offer different sizes and flavors of whey proteins. I have used the choc., strawberry, and vanila. The flavor is awesome.
